It feels good to do good, especially at Christmas! “Lithuania for Animals” and Santa Claus Remigijus Žiogas decided to visit several animal shelters in the Klaipėda district to surprise the little strays and the kind shelter volunteers who care for them.
During this Christmas campaign, we visited three animal shelters: “Be My Friend,” “Nuaras,” and “Happy Paws.” During all of the visits, together with the jolly Santa Claus, we distributed plenty of food, clothing, and bedding—as well as warmth and happiness from the heart. Our volunteers mentioned that they never imagined giving could bring such a sense of happiness. The sincere smiles and gratitude of the shelter volunteers gave us the motivation to continue doing good deeds throughout the coming year.

Although Christmas is over, we want to encourage everyone to help any animal shelter of your choice. These facilities need help all year round without any breaks. And sadly, the number of homeless animals keeps growing, so more food, more clothes, more space are needed. Animal shelters these days are overcrowded and often there’s no room left for even one newcomer. So if you’re thinking about getting a pet, don’t buy one! Shelters have plenty of them and most importantly, they’re free.
